Good bye!

It is epiphany. Time to undress decoration. Christmas was wwwwooonderful. First it seemed that there was too much going on at the same time but evvverything was great, super! We had lots of food, lots of people, beautiful Christmas tree and most of all - lots of fun. Most important of all: my job was successful! I had nice things enough to keep reindeer in the air. Father Christmas gave presents to little sister and she was very, very happy. I had a nice little present too :).

Help!

These people are getting crazy! They clean, cook, clean, cook, clean, cook....what a hassle. I didn't realize that adult people act like this. Big sister saved me. We went to gym. I guess that body building is not for mice but it was nice and quiet anyway.

Gingerbread house

Wow! We made a gingerbread house today. Little sister wanted to decorate a gingerbread house so much that stepmam promised to make one. It was stepfather who finally built the house, little sister and I decorated it.

St. Lucia

I visited St. Lucia celebration on Loviisa market square today. St. Lucia is important to Swedish speaking people. In Sweden they celebrate St. Lucia too. You can read more here:

Lucia was beautiful but I was even happier to meet Santa Claus :)! He is quite happy with my work so far.

Porridge

Weekend was so busy that I enjoyed lazy, slow morning so much. I made some porridge. It's in the pot below.

This is a straw buck in neighbours garden. Almost everyone has one of these, bigger or smaller, at christmas time.

Christmas market

Such a lovely day in Loviisa! I visited many nice houses with beautiful christmas decoration. Look:

Mulled wine (glogg) was served here and there.

Plenty of people on christmas market.

Independence Day in Finland

What a cerenomius day! I have found out that these people use to watch a movie called "Unknown soldier" every single year. The movie takes hours. At the same time they cook, watch the movie and every now and then get a bit emotianal.

I'm just a little mouse, I don't know so much about it. Colours are blue and white, food is nice, so - I'm a happy mouse!

Slept all day... zzzzzz... woke up for three minutes to watch this clip....

This is my home town Loviisa in autumn. Isn't it nice? Little sister said that this is a gorilla dancing. Gorillas can't dance or can they? Tomorrow is Independence day. Family is doing something... zzzzzz.... nice... zzzzzzzz.... maybe....zzzzzzz... we will see....

Architecture

The most beautiful thing in the world is a nice piece of emmental cheese. Today we are staying in Seinäjoki at grandmothers home. We visited church and town hall, made by architect Alvar Aalto. Those buildings are beautiful too. I would love to have a house that looks like piece of emmental.

It's very nice to stay here because grandmother likes to cook for us. Stepmother and stepfather were shopping christmas presents for older children. You know, Santa Claus brings presents only for those, who believe in him. I wonder if I will get anything from Santa Claus or my stepfamily?

Grandmother

Last night we drove through darkness. Everything was fine and grandmother was very happy to see us all. We didn't take the cat along at all. I was tired when we finally got here. Grandmother and little syster slept side by side and I'm pretty sure they were snoring. That was funny. 

Nice things today: meeting grandmother, sleeping tight, no cat around at all.
